Welcome to 2026! We're trying something new this season: Monday Night Drop-In Curling. This is a fun, relaxed opportunity to play some games without committing to a league, or get a chance to play a position you don't normally play. The goal is to meet new people and have fun on the ice!
Whether you're brand new to curling and want more practice in a low-pressure environment, or you're a seasoned curler just looking to enjoy the sport socially, this program is perfect for you. Teams are formed on the spot, so every week brings new teammates and friendly games. This is all about fun, not competition!
Monday Night Drop-In Curling runs throughout the season, offering flexible curling opportunities in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. This is perfect for new curlers looking to gain more experience or seasoned players who just want to enjoy the game socially without the pressure of league standings.
Each session features six-end games, providing enough play time to enjoy the sport while keeping the evening manageable. With teams formed on-site based on who shows up, you'll meet different curlers and make new friends each week in a casual, supportive environment.
Important: Teams are formed at 6:25 PM sharp. If you arrive after team formation, you may not get a spot depending on the number of participants. We recommend arriving by 6:15 PM to ensure you don't miss out.
We've designed our pricing structure to make Monday Night Drop-In accessible to everyone:
This is a trial year to gauge interest in the program. We're excited to see how the community responds and look forward to making this a regular offering if there's strong participation.
Monday Night Drop-In Curling is designed to be flexible, fun, and welcoming to everyone. Here's what a typical evening looks like:
For drop-in curling, wear comfortable, warm clothing that allows for flexibility. Loose, stretchy pants are ideal for the lunging motions required in curling. The ice shed temperature is similar to a skating rink, so layer up with clothing you can adjust as you warm up during play.
Footwear: If you have curling shoes, bring them! If not, clean indoor-only sneakers with rubber soles work perfectly. The club provides sliders and brooms for those who don't have their own equipment.
Safety First: We encourage all participants to wear protective headgear, especially CSA-approved hockey-style helmets. Alternative headgear options are available in our Pro Shop.
Gloves: Light gloves or mitts with grip surfaces on the palms and fingers are recommended for warmth and grip.
Monday Night Drop-In Curling offers unique benefits that traditional league play doesn't:
This is a trial year for Monday Night Drop-In Curling, and we need your support to make it successful! If you enjoy the program, please tell your fellow curlers, friends, and family members who might be interested.
The future of this program depends on community participation. Strong attendance will help us determine whether to continue and potentially expand drop-in opportunities to other nights of the week.
Come out, have fun, and be part of something new at Curl Bridgewater!
